This year, we invite five Bruneian students to one-week industrial study tour to Japan. Since 2005, JBFA has continued to provide enthusiastic students with opportunities to experience Japan. The main purpose of the study tour is to learn how liquefied natural gas (LNG) that has been imported from Brunei is utilized in Japan by visiting a LNG receiving terminal. Participants will also have opportunities to experience Japanese culture first hand by participating in cultural exchange programme at a Japanese university.*

Schedule:

10th – 17th December 2023 (Schedule may change due to flight availability)

Applicants must have the following qualifications:

-No previous experience in Japan

-Bruneian nationality

-Interest in Japanese culture

-College or University level students

-Good health

-Time consciousness

JBFA Japan Study Tour for Bruneian Students 2022

-College or University level students

-Three times COVID-19 vaccination record
※Applicants with no previous experience in Japan are given priority.

The tour includes visits to a science museum and a number of technology showrooms in Tokyo. The participants will also have opportunities to experience Japanese culture first hand by participating in a cultural exchange programme at a Japanese university.

Applicants must have the following qualifications:

-Bruneian nationality

-Interest in Japanese culture

-Japanese language ability (at least beginner’s level – JLPT 5 or equivalent)

-Good health

-College or University level students

福岡アジア美術館にて「サンシャワー東南アジアの現代美術展 1980年代から現在まで」が下記の通り開催されますので、ご案内申し上げます。

近年、めざましい経済発展とともに、国際的な注目を集める東南アジアの現代美術。その歩みは、晴れていながら雨が降るサンシャワー（天気雨）のように発展と困難が背中合わせでした。植民地支配と独立、独裁政権と民主化、経済発展と格差のなかで、ダイナミックに変化してきた東南アジア10ヵ国の1980年代から現在までの美術を、約30作家の作品から「情熱と革命」「さまざまなアイデンティティー」「歴史との対話」など9つの視点で掘り下げて紹介します。

本展は、東京の国立新美術館と森美術館、国際交流基金アジアセンターが共同で開催している展覧会（7/5-10/23）を部分的に巡回するものです。福岡では、巡回作品に加えて、当館の所蔵作品や出品作家が90年代に福岡で展開したパフォーマンスの記録映像や展示のアーカイブをあわせて展示します。福岡ならではの、東南アジアと福岡の美術交流の軌跡をお伝えします。
